Mopeds You Can Ride On A Car License Or From Age 16

All the mopeds in this list can be ridden from age 16 on a provisional license, after taking a CBT.

The government website states that you can ride a moped (up to 50cc) on a car license without L plates. You can ride theses mopeds without taking a moped test if you passed your driving test before the 1st February 2001. To clarify, the maximum engine size permitted for mopeds that can be ridden with a standard driver’s license is 50cc.

Motorcycles

In addition to mopeds, certain motorcycles can also be ridden with a standard car license. Specifically, three-wheeled motorcycles are eligible as long as they do not exceed a power output of 15 kilowatts. This allows for a broader range of travel options while ensuring safety and compliance with legal requirements.
